I think the aesthetic is Bourbon Street dive bar. They use folding tables and chairs for lunchtime, so it's definitely not the best scene if you're looking for a touch of elegance with your meal, but the jambalaya was good with a touch of Cajun heat (I personally would like a bit more of the meats, but it was okay) and the side of fries with garlic and rosemary was a generous basket with lots of seasoning. My friend got a bourbon chicken po'boy which she enjoyed. It wasn't so overstuffed that she couldn't pick it up, which she appreciated. The beer selection is varied and fun, and we loved the eclectic music selection that was playing.
The food was fantastic! I ordered the Cajun mac and cheese with chicken, while my friend chose the Bourbon Street chicken. Both dishes were delicious. The only downside was with the Bourbon Street chicken, which was served as a sandwich; unfortunately, the juices from the chicken made the bread too soggy to eat comfortably. Other than that, I would rate it an A+. The drink prices were reasonable, and the decor of the place was charming. The bartenders were excellent—friendly and attentive. I didn't have to wait long to place my order, and it arrived fairly quickly. I will definitely be returning! Also, the house pickles were amazing!
I had a great experience with the food at Thirsty's. The Jambalaya was delicious—while it may not be authentically spicy Cajun, it was packed with flavor! There are plenty of delicious options for those who aren't familiar with Cajun cuisine, too. The bartenders and wait staff were excellent, providing attentive service. The cozy, small atmosphere is what truly makes Thirsty's special. I highly recommend giving it a try; I'm confident you'll want to return! There's also ample parking available!
My absolute favorite bar in Richmond. The owners are great people, the patrons are very friendly, and they have a variety of different themes and entertainment to keep you coming back Drag shows, karaoke, theme nights, and vinyl nights all bring a variety of people in. You’d be hard pressed to find a day that doesn’t appeal to you. Be warned, the drinks are strong. That’s a good thing but it’s something that you need to know before coming here.

So much fun! Our first time we had expected a drink each and left. This did not happen due to the great and great environment! After we had several drinks and a few appetizers, we left three hours later! They also had kareoks and there was never a boring moment. Great staff and friendly regulars. We'll come back! Thanks for a great time.
The staff is always friendly and amazing. The mozz sticks and sauce are really delicious, have not yet tried any other food (we go for the drinks; I really appreciate the terrace as I am still friendly to be inside with groups of people. Definitely a great place to step back after work and feel safe and comfortable.
Love their bathroom sign! Lovely staff and chef, food was okay but burgers were delicious! Try their gator burger. Delicious freshly made mozzarella cheese. Drinks were awesome too. Awesome atmosphere and easy to find place. Not many parking spaces due to it being in a corner.
My besties brothers bar and I would have expected nothing less, funky and fun! Seems like a hoppin place and they even have some tasty late night munchies. Have to go try a Po' Boy some time since it's also New Orleans themed which I did not know until arrival.

Fun bar with a cool mood, great staff and decent half elevated bar food. Definitely an LGBTQIA safe room with theme nights, drag shows and community sponsorings!
