I am from the Toronto area and was in search of a good coffee spot. Thom Bargen came highly recommended, so I decided to give it a try. As someone who drinks espresso regularly and has semi-commercial equipment at home, I have never had better espresso than what I make at home... until now. The coffee at Thom Bargen was exceptional - incredibly smooth, flavorful, and with a fantastic finish. The milk-based drinks were perfectly frothed, and the espresso shots had a thick crema. I was so impressed that I had four drinks on my first visit and practically flew back to my hotel afterwards. The staff were also very friendly and informative, providing me with details about their beans and roasting...
WOW! A awesome cup of pure coffee bliss! I have tried various offerings and continue to be presently shocked in amazement. The quality of coffee used, superb creation and strength via concentration makes you a fool if you do not at least try. Visiting from Minneapolis and truly appreciate a good coffee. I must say.
The atmosphere of this little gem is amazing. The staff and owners are so friendly and engage in conversations, almost like they may actually care aboit your day! One of the best lattes I've had, the coffee they use is of the best quality. Congrats on the new place and continued success for the future!
I'm not a coffee snob nor care too much about various blends and sources - BUT ..... having had a cappuccino at this little gem might have just changed me. Each time I walk in, I can always count on this establishment to provide a delightful experience with its array of flavors and globally sourced coffee. It reminds me of some of my favorite Australian cafes that also offer world coffees.
This place exceeds the considerable hype it is getting. Can't figure out what I like more: the amazing mochas, genuinely friendly service, or the funky décor.
