Took my daughter for brunch and a bottle of wine, the bar lady was lovely very friendly, but we missed the breakfast by 8 minutes, so did ask for 2 but were told were 8 minutes too late, so ordered 2 small brunch, which is similar to an English breakfast, my daughter doesn't like beans so swapped beans for mushrooms, when our food arrived it was very obvious that it was the left overs from breakfast, the egg was realy hard fried and solid, the bacon was so crispy it was like a crisp, and the beans were dry . It’s been a while since I’ve been in a ‘spoons, this was my first visit to this establishment. Ordering on the app was easy, service was reasonable. A good pint of Doombar , was followed by mediocre mixed grill, plate was warm, all the meat was piled in a heap, peas cooked just, mushroom was fine, small jacket potato, all the meat was overcooked and dry, the sausage was slightly burnt. Pudding was apple crumble and custard charged extra for custard apples were very hot, under a warm crumble, as for the custard, I like thick custard, but there is thick and THICK. As it was a Monday lunch it wasn’t busy, if it had been busy who knows what the food would be like. Overall not impressed
What makes this a 5 star review??one thing.. DAVE.. We’ve been coming here for years and when Dave is working we always comment on how friendly, polite and hard working he is. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and his friendly and smiley demeanour makes him a stand out member of staff.. Every business should have a DAVE..
For a JD pub it's lovely, usually pop in for a pint during the day if we've walked into town. Also had a nibble there a couple of times which has been nice and great value too. Can't comment on what the customers are like in the evening but it's more than fine during the day.

Arrived here on the 7th November and greeted by a lovely lady called Sylvia i ordered a large breakfast which was lovely and hot it was deliver by a manager think her name was Claire who told me a lot about the history of the pub I would recommend this establishment
Visited here week commencing 20TH nov. Greeted pleasantly by the girl behind bar, prompt service did not eat in this occasion but enjoyed couple of pints thanks to all staff hope to visit again soon Harrywrag
Food was ok but waited at the bar for 10 minutes before getting my order in. The barman seemed clueless when serving the other 2 customers in front of me. Seems like they are short on staff
Very slow service. Food okay, drinks came 5 minutes after the food. I did order through the app. Wouldn't advise using the app as you'll never get your drinks

Nice wetherspoons large building piping hot reasonably priced food .not too far from blackpool well worth the visit in my opinion
We will not return. The food was cold and they thought it acceptable to heat the food up in the microwave and not replace it.
