The first night was good, no one came in to clean our room the next day but that’s not an issue. When we tried to extend our stay we had to pay another resort fee, never had to do that anywhere else. Then we ended up staying with boyfriends parents in a different room and they wouldn’t allow us to park in parking lot even though we paid another resort fee. Then the air conditioning stopped working on the hottest night also there was NO cold water, then 2 hours before our check out time, our cards were deactivated. The location is great, beach is a little far but clean. Rooms are very clean but somethings could be redone. My favorite part was that our room smelled like coconut.Nearby activiti...
My family and I spent a long weekend at the Thunderbird in early June, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional—everyone was friendly, helpful, and highly professional. We arrived slightly before the check-in time, but our room was ready almost immediately. We were fortunate enough to get a room on the ground floor, conveniently located right by the beach. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping team was also very accommodating, providing fresh towels whenever we needed them. The hotel was fantastic. We stayed in a suite that featured both a bedroom and a living room with a small kitchen, which allowed us to enjoy breakfast or lunch in our room. One of the highlights of our stay was the Beach Yoga and Aqua Aerobics sessions with Coach Jillian Dzieciol. She has such a positive energy and really sets the tone for a great start to the day. You don’t need a mat for Beach Yoga; just towels will do! I had an amazing time and felt great about working out too. Plus, the group photos are wonderful keepsakes from the trip!
This was our first visit to Treasure Island and to Thunderbird Beach Resort. We originally booked a pool view room and was very surprised that we were upgraded to a queen suite. The room was very clean and updated. The employees were very helpful and friendly. We loved that we didn't need to drive anywhere... just steps away from restaurants and shopping. Very nice, clean hotel, location. Well lit.Long way to water wide beach! Sand is packed well so not difficult to walk on.Good areas for small and large gatherings.Seems a safe area.Nice, live music throughout the day.Plenty of choices for food, dining, groceries very near by.The staff is very friendly and helpful!Walkability: I walked to breakfast restaurants and grocery store, souvenir shops within a couple blocks.
I have fond memories of vacationing at the Thunderbird, and I love that I can now share that experience with my family. We had a wonderful time with our Family Sunset Photos photographer! Coordinating our session was a breeze. Our photographer was incredibly friendly and provided excellent guidance on how to pose as a family; she truly went above and beyond! We couldn't be more thrilled with our photos!
Family Sunset Photos offers their services to guests at Thunderbird. We decided to have family photos taken during our stay and I am so glad we did! They were so easy to work around our schedule and the photographer who came to take our pictures did an amazing job working with us and 3 young boys who were bursting with energy! We are so happy with our photos!
We had a wonderful time taking family sunset photos for a birthday celebration! We'll definitely book again the next time we're in town. I had a wonderful experience! Both pools were lovely, and the cleaning staff were friendly and always willing to help. My kids are like little fish in water, so it was fantastic to see them so happy. We also had a photoshoot on the beach at sunset for some family pictures, and the photographer was really nice and did an excellent job.
