I've been passing Timbah for months, and after visiting for the first time last night, I can't help but feel like I've wasted some time not dropping in sooner. Looking for something low-key and relaxed for some quality food and some decent vino during the week without the noise, Timbah sure pleased. The service is warm, and dining format is explained up front if you're new to the experience. There is a sophisticated yet unpretentious vibe, easily capable of taking place of one of your regulars. Everything is order at the bar, with a few exceptions when quiet. Any open wines can be purchased by the glass, alternatively you can opt for anything and everything if committing to a bottle.

Ich habe noch nie Tapas ausprobiert, also war ich so aufgeregt, als mein Freund uns sagte, dass sie uns hier für ihr Geburtstagsabendessen behandelte. Bosslady Louise is very passionate about her wine having owned the front liquor shop for 14 years so when she gave me a delicious glass of Dante Gabriel Vermentino 2015 Adelaide Hills i was in heaven. The food here is native australian inspired gathering delicious ingredients from country co-operatives. I highly recommend the Balmain bug, lobster and prawn rolls with lemon myrtle and the Salmon ceviche, finger lime, jalapeño, guacamole! If your waiter is Ashley then you will be looked after like an old friend.

This is an awesome wine bar. They have a wine by democracy system for wine by the glass where they open 3-4 whites and 3-4 wines (first come, first served). if you're into wine, you'll have a ball. They seem to focus on value wines, quality lesser known options with a good variety. The food is quality and affordable tapas with a neat focus on Australian produce. The entrance is hidden down a side street and the door is easy to miss so keep an eye out.
An amazing find. If you're anywhere in the Sydney area you must visit, it will be worth the trip. Amazing food, lovely wine, everything was so fresh and tasty. Great service and the chef took the time to explain the different ingredients used. Had 5 dishes between 3 of us which was a prefect amount for dinner. Great value for such amazing food.
Ich möchte wirklich Timbah so viel mehr geben, aber trotz der schönen Umgebung und der ansprechbaren Weinliste lässt das Essen sie wirklich im Stich. Der Service ist freundlich, informativ und persönlich. Sie fehlen jedoch wirklich kein Menü, das ihre Umgebung ergänzt ... Trotzdem kommen wir bald wieder für einen Vino.
Kam mit einem Übersee-Besucher hierher, nachdem er ihr Essensmenü gesehen hatte. Es ist eher ein Trinkplatz. Interessantes Speisenmenü. Der Lachs und der Tintenfisch sind wirklich gut. Gute Auswahl an Wein. Sehr gemütlicher und komfortabler Ort.

We love Timbah - fabulous wines by the glass (or bottle of course) along with great food. Perfect for a quick meal on the way home or settle in for a long night.
