It is quite actually my favorite restaurant in the world; I live in NY and I travel to Admore, PA regularly just to get Fermentaria. The beer is the best I 've ever had, and the food is always a deliciously creative twist on a classic dish. Despite constantly changing both the beer and food menus, Tired Hands Fermentaria hits the mark Every. Single. Time. I really wanted to like this place but I will not be back. We got the tacos al pastor and the chicken sandwich to share. The chicken sandwich was fresh fried and very hot when it came out (also the chicken was dark meat, most likely to keep the chicken juicy). The tacos had a lot of seasoning and spice but it overpowered the meat. I was looking forward to trying the pineapples on the tacos but I couldn't taste them because there wasn't a lot of pineapple and the seasoning was too much. Really a 3.5 stars. Rounded up to a 4 because I 'm a sucker for their beer. Many people claim their beer all taste the same , but I disagree. They have different styles of beers. I mostly concentrate on their IPAs/DIPAs. Yes some of them are similar, they 're all unfiltered with some combinations of hops, malts and fruits, but they are also all different, and that 's what attract people. Plus they all have awesome names. So on average of all beers I have had and liked from there (a few hundreds? , I have to say they 're worth 4 stars. This brewery offers a great selection of beers that change every week so frequent diners have the opportunity to taste a wonderful variety. I ordered a flight and was pleasantly surprised by how great each beer was. The waitress was very friendly and was eager to recommended choices according to my taste. The tacos are good. I tried the fish tacos and carnitas both of which were flavorful but a little dry. They could improve with more sauce. But the food selection definitely compliments the beer which is the main star of the show. Tired Hands is a great stop for a group dinner with a cool ambiance. Wow what an incredible selection of beer at Tired Hands. Located in Ardmore, Tired Hands is a typical microbrew setup with very not-so-typical beer. They were put on the map with their Milkshake style IPAs but if you like beer there will be something here for you to like. They do lean heavily on IPAs, but have a wide variety of lighter style beers as well. They also serve food there from a menu including delicious tacos burgers and sandwiches and some bar-ish appetizers. Just a warning though.. it can be very busy there especially on a weekend which is further proof that Tired Hands is worth checking out.
Rude, racist treatment. My friend is black and he was asked to not speak so loudly, even though we could barely hear each other over the oktoberfest band in 2019. We all know what a dog whistle sounds like, a$$holes. Servers were very inexperienced in handling our families, which required high chairs for the kids. The food and the beer were forgettable. 9 months later, all I remember was that it was greasy pub trash. I have no idea what I ate there, nor do I ever plan to go back. We'll go some place that actually has some class.
Last night, my boyfriend and I ate at the Fermentaria. We ate exactly everything the same during the day except last night at the restaurant, I had a veggie burger and he had a regular burger. Within a few hours, he had diarrhea, vomiting, and sick with food poisoning. We've been there lots of times and I'm a fan of their beer, but clearly their food preparation is an issue. We're not the first people on Yelp to bring this issue to light and I'm waiting for a call back from them...
They make an excellent product but could not run their pickup service worse. I live nearby and can see the line is 50+ people long all day on weekends. Its 90 degrees out and theres no shade guys c'mon, figure out a way to run multiple pickup desks. Maybe open the garage door on cricket terrace? Maybe provide shade, or water or something? Keep an eye out on their social feeds for their beer drops. They have their standard beers available at all times (high ipa or an easy drinking ale) but a crazy double or triple IPA pop up once or twice a week. Good pizza and knock out burger.
