Always in search of good mexican food, I read other reviews about this restaurant and couldn’t wait to try it. The ambiance and decor was nice, comfortable and clean. It was loud although only one table was occupied, they have a t.v. on that was turned on so loud that my husband and I could not hear one another very well. The waitress was barely audible and shy, and could not offer any help or suggestions or recommendations. The food was completely disappointing. I live for taco’s, and I could not get past the first bite of my taco. I love both hard and soft shell, and always on the quest of a good hard shell taco (that won’t break my teeth). This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. I’ve had their breaded chicken breast plate with homemade tortillas (my fave), chicken salad, grilled chicken plate, tacos, and al pastor torta. I love their fresh chips and restaurant made salsa. I ALWAYS look forward to dipping the tortillas chips in the mild salsa. I usually call in the order. Recently I learned you can order online hint hint. Try it out. I 100% recommend it.
Great food, it is like eating in my Grandmother’s kitchen. The food is authentic. If you are looking for the standard tacos and enchiladas, go somewhere else, because their choices are not standard. This is real Mexican food. Tortas, soups, dinner plates, Menudo on weekends — all great. My favorite is “camaron al mojo de ajo” (Garlic Shrimp) and the menudo. Don’t come for ordinary tacos, come for real Mexican Food!
Fell upon this place going home. So good! I had machaca and my babies had menudo. The service and price was great. I wish it was cleaner, not dirty but older place but there's love and care in what they do. Leave in LA but would totally day trip just to eat there. Stop by before 10am for menudo...they run out. Soo good. You really can't go wrong. Cover your eyes and point to something, it will be delicious!

We're from Ventura and drive to Santa Paula just to go to this restaurant. We've eaten there several times. Their tacos are excellent. Also the chili relleno, rice and beans. Are waitress, Jacqueline, was outstanding.
It's a small family restaurant. The food there is absolutely delicious. It's family owned so it's got the family atmosphere. Highly recommend. One of my go to spots.
Really delicious carne asada tacos heck might be even the best around Ventura County. Highly recommend to anyone looking for legit Mexican food.
