Toast in Norfolk is a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough! The food is absolutely delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. The staff are some of the friendliest people you'll meet, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere at Toast is something special—a unique blend of eclectic decor and a laid-back vibe that just draws you in. I especially enjoyed the self-serve water refill option when seated outside; it's a small detail that adds to the charm of the place. I have visited Toast many times, but this time I was especially impressed. As soon as we sat down, we were given a trough of water for our dog. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to accommodate the dietary restrictions of our group. As always, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was exceptional. You definitely need to sit outside in the garden; it's beautiful and you'll be surrounded by adorable bees and stunning butterflies. Just a note: there are also regular flies, so keep an eye on your food!
05/17/24 Stopped by for breakfast and had a great time. Had eggs Benedict three ways it was fantastic. 03/03/24 Had a great brunch here on Sunday. The food was fantastic. I had a Carnitas bowl with Chili and the wife Shrimp with grits. Everything was very tasty. The bloody Mary was also great. This is a must try in Norfolk Dillon was behind the bar and was very friendly and helpful. This place prides themselves and making things fresh.
I visited Toast for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The Quich Me was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly attentive. My wife has food allergies, and they worked together to address her concerns, with our server sincerely apologizing for a specific dish that wouldn’t be safe for her. I highly recommend this place! Visiting from out of town and lucked into this place. The food was outrageously good! The staff was attentive and very friendly. If I lived here, Toast would be my go to for brunch.
BEST shrimp and grits in the world! Cherry tart was equally as amazing. It gets fairly hot in here during the summer but still very good food!
Loved it place is awesome was only in town for a few days and made sure to visit this place and so glad we did go check it out!
