Used to love this place. Last night was a mess. First, our server didn’t know how to open a wine bottle at a place known for their wine selection. I had to do it. Second, the short rib looked like it was boiled and not seared at all. Was very bland. Pork was good. Third, when I asked for a recommendation between two entrees, I was told the one had not been tried because the servers have to pay for the food they eat. What??? What restaurant doesn’t let their servers try the food so they can help the customers. For the prices this place is now charging, I would expect the staff to be better trained and know the menu. We won’t be back.
Great food, service could have been better and was expected to be better. Charcuterie board was amazing. Wine glass was dirty with smudged prints had to get new one, steak knives had to be asked for as well as drink refills and the restaurant was not busy in our section. The food is worth it and other tables had better service so next time we expect it will be better.
Very nice restaurant and excellent food. One very surprising charge discovered on the bill. A “corkage” fee for a bottle of wine purchased off their own wine list. If I had known of the corkage fee, I would have brought a very highly rated wine from my own cellar.
Not many good restaurants in this part of Novi to host a business meal. but Toasted Oak is one. Filet is very good. Sea Bass... my colleague didn't share but it looked amazing! Good wine list and selection of cocktails. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
My friend and I came from Lansing to meet for breakfast in Novi, and the girls (wait staff/hostess) were soooo nice and sweet so accommodating of us being late! We had a great time!
Wonderful waitress; amazing bartender; delicious cornbread jalapeño waffles with Nashville chicken. Very tasty Bloody Mary. Excellent atmosphere great prices.
