toffs is far from my favorite fish and chip restaurant in london. it will certainly deliver when they sit and eat in the opposite to one go out. the fish is as fresh, it is like no other. so succulent. soo delicious! I even dream of how divine the fish is. this is also for the person who prepares it(then). her own winery sauce is also the best. how to get it right. good work! the personal is always attentive and polite. The take-outs are not always as fresh tasting and sometimes found that the portions are smaller and for someone like me who orders 4-6 gherkins, they are not always as fresh as they should take out when they take out (space for more improvement) but if...read more
Best fish and chips shop in London! (I think) nice tender fish on the inside and crisp light fluffy outside. The chips are thick and traditional. The restaurants always packed with customers they're always busy! Although they've expanded the restaurant and have 2 floors now, it's still packed! I usually order take aways tastes as good as dining in. Same thing. What's sucks is they don't serve ketchup with the order? You'd have to pay for ketchup and you could end up paying £5-7 just for ketchup to enjoy your portion of fries (I can't have fries without a sauce) But overall I love it. They're quick and serve you within 5 min even though the place is packed- I love that!
I returned to this amazing fish and chip shop in my old stomping ground, Muswell Hill because I had to show my husband how great it was. We visited during our trip to Europe in August 2016 as a priority. I used to love walking up the road for a meal back in 2005/6 back when I lived here and really wanted to enjoy their food again. It is certainly still as amazingly good as it always has been and definitely impressed us with our lunch feast. Beautifully fresh fish, perfect chips and a great side salad. There’s a reason this place one of the best! If you haven’t been, get yourself there (including those of you travelling from elsewhere). Toff’s is absolutely delicious.
Disappointed. I must have got a bad day for the staff, for they were appalling. I was convinced to go for the main meal offer rather than starter and chips which I originally asked for and was deliberately misled that this would be cheaper. Lo and behold the bill was more that's one thing, but the manager made no effort to diffuse the situation, and I found him aggressive. my dad brought me here first to get away and then we sat in, the fish N chips were like I wanted them. hot crispy teig on the fish. the chips cooked and hot! the restaurant is small but busy. it has a big call, it has not disappointed. the menu offers a large selection of fish, teig, grilled together with other great oriented. we shared some delicious garnels. yum! great value for money.
Practically had a food coma from this place. I had a couple of fish and chips around this city but Man this place beats the lot by a mile! Will recommend this place to travellers and forst time visitors of London. A bit of a pain to go to but really worth it. Also try their mashed peas. You will not be disappointed.
It is the go to place for the best chippy in London simple ! In my world Toff`s simply rules over others ! There’s nothing particularly fancy about it, just the highly sought-after holy trinity of crunchy and grease-free batter, fresh and juicy fish, and crisp and fluffy chips. You can’t beat this one , dive in !
This is a straight chippie, nothing fancy, but just go in and order the haddock and chips. The chips could be improved upon but the haddock cannot. It is freshly prepared and with superb batter (sadly not as good on my most recent visit). The tartar sauce Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
we asked for the fish, as illustrated, and we got the most delicious grilled cod and tomato. such a kind and accommodation owners. much to recommend.
