10/22/22 A wonderful evening at Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach. We had reservations and were seated at a nice table outside. Carlos our server was terrific and very attentive. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and drinks to start which were terrific.Carlos took our entree order and my wife had the Salmon entree and I ordered the filet mignon plate. Both were very good. Wefinished the evening with a shared slice of pumpkin cheesecake Ala mode which was out of this world. The coffee was excellent aswell. Great people, food and ambiance. Highly recommended. I visited this restaurant after researching the best dining options in the Newport Beach area, and it came highly recommended. It’s conveniently located just 10 minutes from where I was staying, so I decided to give it a shot. The food and service were fantastic! It’s a bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth it. Plus, they have a clothing store if you're in the mood for some shopping afterward!
I absolutely love the food and drinks at Tommy Bahama. We arrived just before happy hour—30 minutes too early, as it starts at 3 PM—but sitting outside at a table felt like we were in Hawaii. The goat cheese flatbread was fantastic, and the chicken Tinga quesadillas were just as delicious. We wanted to order more, but we only stopped by for a quick bite. We definitely plan to return!
I had a really disappointing experience with the customer service! The staff seemed completely unfocused when I was placing my order. I ordered with Lauren this time, and they forgot the bread; last time, it was the butter! They always seem to overlook something. After several such experiences, I won’t be ordering from here again. Can’t recommend this location. Hostesses were incredibly unhelpful, bar top tables are all so small you can’t go with more than one other person, and it’s just kinda… not that great. Food’s fine I guess. Plenty of better places around.
Stopped for drinks and appetizers Really enjoyed the cocktails and I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup which was very tasty. aMy husband had the Salad with crab meat which was also very nice. Really nice atmosphere and great service.
The happy hour offers great value for money. The food is delicious, and the drinks are generously served. The piña colada cake is absolutely amazing— and I usually don’t even like cake!

They have a great Happy hour everyday of the week with live music, food and drink specials. My recommendation is the coconut shrimp
