I would suggest continuing your search for dining options in Towson. This Tavern is not well-managed. We waited 45 minutes for the waiter to take our order and our cocktails were just okay. The whipped feta appetizer was disappointing – it was feta cheese rolled in pistachios, not whipped as advertised, and not tasty. They were also out of several menu items, including Rockfish, filet mignon, and hen. The pasta dish was overly buttery and the Cobb salad was dull. The only decent option seemed to be the hamburger. Overall, it was a disappointing way to spend $100.
We were pleased to discover Towson Tavern. We celebrated Father's Day there with my husband. The customer service was top-notch from all staff members - very friendly, kind, and informative. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was enjoyable. We felt that our dishes could have used a bit more seasoning, but that may just be our personal preference. We will definitely be adding Towson Tavern to our list of go-to spots for date nights.
The staff at the restaurant were very accommodating to my toddler, who needed different drinks. The food was delicious and the chef was considerate enough to change gloves when I mentioned that I don't eat pork. The waitress was very attentive in keeping our table clear. Overall, we had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration and will definitely be returning for special occasions in the future!
Our dinner, our drinks and the company made for a nice evening out last night but what really pushed the experience to being great was our server, Kallie. She was always there when we needed her, she had the sweetest disposition … if all servers were like Kallie, I’d be having my dinner out much more frequently! Thanks for looking after us, Kallie! Our lunch was straightforward both of us had a turkey club which was very generous in size. I passed on dessert but my colleague had a chocolate ice cream which she said was very good. I only gave Towson Tavern four stars because it’s just an order of a turkey club an easy meal to make.
Traditional bar/restaurant. Not screaming college town, which we appreciated. Very nice staff--Brought birthday cake to a member of our party unsolicited. Food was good, but not exceptional, brunch/lunch fare. French press coffee a nice touch. Excellent value.
Towson Tavern is always predictable for good food and great service. It's a neighborhood icon and when meeting in Towson on business or just for a good meal it's the place to go.
Ordered mahi mahi, very dry with bones. Smell in restaurant was horrible. The bathroom essential oil was repugnant. Sorry, i think they had some plumbing issues or something Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Food was bland for the price. Service was slow and uninspiring. Made a reservation, the place was empty for food and services was still slow.
