This is a lovely café. The food is good and the service friendly and efficient. I often pop in and did order on line for delivery at times. Going to the café has not changed and I go every couple of weeks or so. It’s a lovely place and the staff are so nice. However, I really liked being able to order a delivery on occasion when I wasn’t able to go myself but over the past couple of months or so I have been unable to make an order! Tranquilitea remains on the Just Eat website and you can make an ‘order’ but once it has gone to the café for confirmation there is no response! After a fair wait Just Eat does come back to say there has been no response and refunds the money of the order. The onl...
I realised after my visit today that I’ve never reviewed this fantastic gem of a cafe. We have been coming here for years through different owners and management. Great for young families, retired couples meet ups or catching up with friends. Service is fantastic, all the staff are a credit to the place they’re friendly and welcoming, but are also happy with the no pressure approach, they can see you’re with friends/family so don’t bug you every 5mins asking if you’re ok and can they get you anything else!! Very spacious vintage coffee shop. Not many tables but lovely so you can’t hear other people’s conversations. Very friendly staff. A great area set out for children with plenty of toys and fun things for them to do to keep them amused. We had cheese and beans on toast and were hard pushed to finish it, better too much than not enough we say. We ordered the same for my 3 yr old granddaughter and they said they would put the beans in a little bowl as some children didn’t like the toast going soggy, which we thought was a nice touch. I travelled from Southport to take my Mum out for tea and cake. Checked the website and noted reviews saying gluten free options were available. When I asked what the gluten free cake options were I was told there weren't any. This put us in the difficult position of mum sitting there with a cream tea and me with just a cup of tea. The attitude of the waitress was not at all helpful. If you are gluten free like myself I suggest you do as I am going to and give my money to someone who genuinely cares about their gluten free customers and avoid this place Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This morning my family and I went to have breakfast with Santa. It was fab!!!! The staff were friendly, and attentive. The cafe was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The whole morning was nothing but amazing. I liked the fact we were not rushed and each child got adequate time with Santa. Will definitely be booking next year, and would recommend it to anyone. I have also been in when it isn’t an event, and always have great service and food. Always make sure you save room for cake!
The owners of Tranquilty Dean, Clare and staff have done a great service during the pandemic.. This tea shop is just off worsley road swinton, so very local to surroundings areas. I have visited many times, the food is exceptional, and the cakes are delicious all home made. Dean and co have made this a go to place for me and my friends to meet up, or more recently a take out. More recently it’s been a collection only. So not sure of any markings inside for COVID.
This lovely delightful little quirky tearoom must have changed hands. The pleasing table decorations are replaced by a standard sugar bowl and two half used sauce bottles. The place appears to have been stripped back of its character, and now has the feel of part motorway cafe that also serves tea. It has totally lost its USP. Only the tea cups were china. Sorry won’t be coming back.
