Doesn't look like much from the outside, and when you go in it feels much like a locals bar, and that's exactly what it is, because as you talk with the bar tenders and the owner trapper John himself you will find yourself getting screeched in and becoming a Newfie. My one complaint is that the trapper John issued passport did not work at customs nor did they find it funny
Trapper John showed exceptional kindness by including a special needs woman named Kathy in our 'Screech In' ceremony without making it uncomfortable for anyone, especially her. Trapper John, you are truly a class act!
Great place to go for some interesting Newfoundland facts. Loved the screen in !!!! The owner made all feel very welcome. Would absolutely visit here again and have told many people about this place already.

We stopped at Trapper John 's to be 'screeched in '. Terry was wonderful and very entertaining and we learned a lot about the history of NL. It was a blast!
The screeching in ceremonies are great fun and worth doing. There is a reason why they are so popular. Bring a friend to record
