We dined at Travail and tried their full tasting menu, which included the cellar bar and the upper floor restaurant. We opted for a cocktail pairing as well as a non-alcoholic pairing to accompany our meal. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with non-alcoholic cocktails before being seated downstairs. Our favorite part of the experience was the cellar bar, and we would definitely return for that alone. The menu, including the drinks, was inventive and unexpected, with presentations that were almost overwhelming in a playful way. I've ate here a couple of times and have always been impressed. They're always very creative, unique and different when it comes to plating, flavors and presentation. Yes that comes with a cost but worth it especially if you're taking a date or it's a special occasion. Recently tried the basement bar and paired it with the drink tasting menu. Make sure to take a Uber/Lyft because you're leaving there nice and warm. We tried several dishes but really enjoyed the spam burger, chicken satay, poke screwers, and coconut shrimp. But that burger took the prize for best dish in my eyes.
True to the Travail brand's reputation, no detail was overlooked. The sight of their name beautifully carved in ice for the Toki Highball was just the start of a wonderful exploration of their creative whiskey cocktails and a delicious array of bar food. Every time I visit the Twin Cities, Travail consistently provides an exceptional experience.
The staff at this restaurant is incredible! We had a fantastic evening in the cellar bar. If you are seeking a relaxing night out as a couple, this place should definitely be on your list! This restaurant has a fantastic setting, exceptional staff, and delicious food. The location was ideal and we indulged in an 11-course tasting menu of impeccably cooked French dishes. It was definitely worth the price we paid. We will for sure return and highly recommend it!
Our experience in Travail Kellerbar was such a dream! The food was so good, the drinks were delicious and different, and the whole staff was great for us. Grete was particularly friendly and attentive. Very recommend to review one of their amazing topics!

Tasting menu was amazing. Service was outstanding. Wine flight was perfect. Music was overly loud at times, but a great playlist. A well oiled machine.
