THE BEST!!!. Located in the heart of Harlem, this is a small restaurant whose huge aromas pull you into a nice homey but very tidy little space. With a dining area reminiscent of Grandma's Caribbean kitchen in the old wooden house, everything they serve is excellent! From Avena or Mangu at breakfast to mofongo for lunch. Their rotisserie chicken is moist and the chicken chunks or chicharines de pollo are succulent, boneless or bone you choose but they are a must!! Try Tropical Restaurant and Grill, ONE of THE BEST I'm sure you'll agree!
Tropical Grill's food used to be very good. Something happened because the food does not taste the same from how very watery the chicken soup is to giving customers burnt chicken. The Roasted Pork was very dry, as well as, the rice and peas mixed together taste different as well and not for the good. They need to bring back the original cooks. I will not spend another dime in this store again.
Amazing Rotisserie Chicken. Great service here but the story for me is very very moist chicken. And the taste is unbelievable. I was on the train half way back to Queens when I began to crave more. I got off at 59th and Lex and returned for a whole chicken to go. Good stuff.
This is an excellent restaurant, the food is superb, excellent service, reasonably priced and large portions, food is seasoned just right and the menu has so many choices, is always crowded, but the wait staff is fast and efficient, I highly recommend this place!!!
My order came late, plus it wasn't complete,NO soda, NO nothing and when I called back they never answered the phone . I called back 15 times and they never answered. So they ROBBED ME FOR $10 BUCKS. THIEVES...
I found the personnel at tropical grill on Adam Clayton power boulevard to be courteous thoughtful and very professional.The. Oxtails were wonderfully ? delicious.

Food is delicious, staff is a little rushed, and the atmosphere is typical of Harlem lunch places.
