Once inside, we felt relieved to find that the restaurant had air conditioning—without it, the heat would have been unbearable. We were promptly greeted and seated at a cozy four-top table at the back of the restaurant, right next to a large window overlooking the Bedford Basin. The space was well-lit with plenty of natural light, adorned with red walls that created a sleek, modern atmosphere complemented by interesting artwork. The seating arrangements consisted of red and white armless chairs around white metal tables, accommodating about 25-30 guests during these COVID times. We've dined at this restaurant so many times that we would consider buying stock if it ever went public. The kefta, kebabs, moussaka, salads, and kunefe have never let us down. Our favorite dishes include the Arnavut Cigeri (lamb livers with a delicious dressing on the onions—even though I'm not a fan of raw onions!), the lamb kofte kebab (there was one occasion when we didn’t order enough, and it led to a bit of a conflict between two of us, lingering icy tension for the next 24 hours!), and the hummus topped with minced meat. Just when I thought I couldn't be more impressed, the Kunefe stole the show! It was a sweet, cheesy dessert with a lightly toasted cheese topping that reminded me of a bird's nest. The addition of peanut crumble on top for added texture was a delightful touch and really completed the meal. The service, however, was just okay and didn't particularly stand out. Nonetheless, the quality of the food left a lasting impression on me. As for parking, there are numbered spots reserved for the restaurant. While the quantity is limited, it's still adequate for the area.
Such an amazing view of Bedford waterfront..Loved the food and the service..We always do take out and this is our first time going in..The food came quickly and everything was perfect.Did a takeout for the first time..I loved everything..I ordered few things but only took a pic of Jumbo Mix Kebab Plater..If you are a big eater it is perfect for two people but can feed more I am sure..The meet was tender and perfect..The rice was nicely done..Very nice service ???
I’m not an expert of this type of food but everything we ordered was excellent. We ordered through Skip the Dishes (who canceled the order for no apparent reason). I called the restaurant directly and spoke with a very friendly and helpful person who straightened everything out for us hence why I’m rating the service high. We had a variety of dishes all of which were fresh, flavourful, and well cooked. I’m certain a dine in experience would be great as well.
This Turkish restaurant is amazing! Their service is friendly and professional, and the food is incredibly delicious. Whether it's their fresh ingredients, expert cooking, or delightful flavors, every dish I tried was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Turkish culinary experience with exceptional service.
I'm from Toronto, and I found that the cuisine here leans more towards Western-style food than traditional Turkish fare. However, the service was excellent. The prices are on the higher side.
