The setting and the atmosphere is fantastic and makes this place worth visiting. Service was good and very nice, added to the nice experience. The food was a disappointment. It would make me feel better to just write that this place offers so much more genuine Corsican food than the more international kitchens in the “tourist traps” at the port. Because it feels genuine and rustic, but it should also be tasty and made with love and at least some creativity to win my heart. Most of our company had the rotisserie. It was plenty but the meat was really dry. And it came with some potatoes and zucchini (I think) that someone had put into the oven for a while like my 15 years old daughter could ha...
I've been here with my family as we always come at least once when we come to town. From the first time I tried it, I was so impressed by the flavours and the plating that I started considering it my favourite restaurant. Unfortunately, this time things weren't as I fondly remembered them. Yes, the location was still beautiful, romantic and cared for. Yes, the service was polite, albeit dispassionate and rushed. However, the stunning plating of the past were no longer and the magic we used to feel was nowhere to be seen. To be clear, food wasn't bad but average; that x factor was left behind. I'm left heartbroken and disappointed. Might reccomend but wouldn't come back.
We had dinner at U Fanale in our last night in Calvi. We loved it. The place is always packed, reservation is recommended, but we didn't have one. But we got a table and it was very nice! The hostess told us he had the table but we would probably have to wait a little for food because it was to busy. witch as perfectly fine. HE was very honest and we still had great dinner. Food is delicious and the presentation is really thoughtful. Great wines as well! The service is also very nice. The place has tables outside, like a backyard under the trees. We enjoyed it!
good value quality price for this restaurant with warm welcome. we went there several times during our holidays and always the same reception, whether it be math or morgan. very affordable menus and a fairly complete map. everything is good, great well presented whether it is in the menu at 24€ as on the map, the setting is nice with this sheltered terrace, a parking just behind (which is a must because complicated to park where the restaurant is located) we advise this restaurant a little off the harbour but very known, also it is essential to book. to enjoy the sunset on rivalatta but especially for what we have in the plate. a menu at 24€ of a good value price with beautiful presentations of all dishes. Go!
