I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, but something has changed. It seems like they may have been impacted by Covid. The quality has seriously declined, with missing items from our order, bland noodles, and tough asparagus. The guyoza, a traditional Japanese dish, was awful. There were no Japanese natives working there, and there was a lot of unnecessary waste. The prices have gone up significantly, and the once busy weekend tables are now empty by 7pm. It's not surprising. Overall, it's not worth the visit or the money. I don't think we will be returning anytime soon. It's a shame.
excellent, high quality sushi. they can eat or take away, I think eating is a bit of a ripped off, as the seats are not much better than the free seats just 10 meters away from the load. Apart from this little complain, umai is excellent. the sushi is fresh, you see that they do it and pack it in front of you. keep them an eye for the mixed sashimi boxes, the quality of sashimi is better than the usual sushi chain takes away. I didn't try the warm food, but it looked very good.
I recently stopped by for a sashimi sushi lunch at Japan Centre, after having previously visited a few times. Despite some recent negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. While the food may not be the best, it is definitely more affordable than Yo Sushi, located in the same area. At Yo Sushi, a beer costs over £6, but at Japan Centre it's only £2.49. I would recommend checking them out.
This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price with quick service. It is conveniently located on the ground floor, right across from the waitress station and next to the exit. However, it can get a bit chilly and busy, especially when the exit doors are constantly opening and closing during the winter months.
Who is responsible for training the staff at this restaurant? I always have to clean off the table myself because the staff never bother to do it. This happens every time I come here. They even said they are too busy when I asked for help. The prices are too high for the poor service provided.
Great service and food, just had my quick dinner at the shop. But I must say the quality of the tofu amd ramen has drop down a lot for last 2 years or so. But overall very happy with the place and will always going back for food and japanese shopping products.
White Natural Ramen with Edamame and Soft drink and also Tofu Teriyaki Skewer! Yum! Ramen was not drenched in sauce so I could actually taste the flavours, the Shiitake broth and mushrooms!
