This has always been one of our go to places. However, the last recent visit left us disappointed. The service is always excellent. However, the food was not up to par.. We both ordered veal parmesan, which we 've had in the past and enjoyed; this time was not one of those cases. Portions of the meat were hard and contained grizzle. We were both halfway through the meat when we realized it and did not feel comfortable returning the food. Oh well, I guess every once in a while there 's a hiccup; disappointed that it was at our expense.
Authentic Italian food that is extremely well prepared; especially the Lasagna is a MUST have. The waiters busboys service is very attentive and the atmosphere makes the dining enjoyable. Peter the owner is always present to oversee everything and he works extremely hard to maintain the excellent quality of the entire restaurant. Uncle Bacala's is a mainstay restaurant for everyone..................
Peter Hewitt owner of Bacala runs an outstanding restaurant business. What he conveys to his clientele is their total satisfaction is major importance to him. Peter mingles among his guests throughout their there. The service is never lacking, the food well that is just a dining delite! PS I love the cotton candy!
This restaurant is our absolute favorite for great tasting comfort Italian food, their sauce is outstanding and everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is is extremely competent and welcoming. Thanks for another perfect meal
