I took my partner on a date night on a Friday evening. In short, we had a fantastic experience. We started off with the chilled zucchini soup – fresh, palate, cleansing, and very refreshing. Next, we got the scallop crudo and black truffle chicken wings which were incredible. Highly recommend. For mains, we got the salmon and swordfish. The salmon was the star of the entrees in our opinion with sweetness from the sweet potatoes and crunch from the broccoli rabe. The swordfish, however, was a bit dry and less seasoned in comparison, though still good. We got half pour wine pairings with each course all recommends were on point! We sat outside on a nice day, so the ambience was good and the service was fine. Our issue was the food. My wife and I used to love this place so much we called it “our place” when deciding where we wanted to eat. This visit changed that. The food was all completely bland. My wife ordered off the cob corn that was $10 and it tasted like unseasoned corn and nothing else. She also ordered a burger which was bland. I ordered the duck which had no flavor. On top of that, our favorite dessert, the bread pudding was taken off the menu. We always love dining at Union Kitchen restaurant. Everything is top-notch, from the delicious food to the excellent service, the convenient location, and Vish's impressive wine knowledge as the general manager and wine sommelier. We will definitely be coming back!
Food was great. Everyone in our group ordered a different entre, and they were all yummy! Cocktails were perfect. It was fairly loud with good energy. Would definitely go back.
