I had Union Woodshop BBQ on my list of restaurants to try, and when I was driving through Clarkston on my way home, I decided it was the perfect time to cross it off my list. Even though I wasn’t super hungry, I figured I could take home anything I couldn’t finish. I’m so glad I stopped! I ordered the Classic Tray, which came with a 1/3lb of brisket, pulled pork, and dark meat chicken (my preference over white meat). I also asked for a fatty cut of brisket, and they were able to accommodate that request. The tray came with slaw, pickles, and I opted for corn muffin over white bread. I also added the BBQ baked beans, and they were absolutely fantastic. To start, I went with the fried pickles...
Just like it's co-owner Kid Rock, what used to be a star-studded gem is now just a worn out washed up has been of what used to be great. Humorously slow service, was out of many menu items shortly after dinner service was offered. Worn, tired and dingy atmosphere full of people oblivious to the cakes layers of filth hidden by the dim evening lighting. A favorite eatery of mine that sadly I need to let go of. Service: Dine in
Fun place to hangout with the family on a Friday evening. The young ones love the pinball machines upstairs while waiting for the food. The adults likes the bar and its drinks choices. The food was very good, for my uneducated taste bud it’s as good as most BBQ places down in Texas. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, a perfect combination. Service: Dine in
Came here a few times over the last few years and really disappointed in the costs and the food since the made the menu change. Portion sizes decreased, sides are add on, and the food was poor. My son's hamburger was so over-cooked it was laughable. Been itching to go back, but reality set in the place I'm craving is no longer what it used to be. Service: Dine in

Excellent food and service. This was the first time here, but I will be back. Dinner prices were fair, and like every other restaurant with spirits, drink prices seem high to me, but it is the norm.
