I decided to give this restaurant a try because it’s pet-friendly, which is always a bonus. We didn’t have to wait long for a table. Once we were seated, the hostess promptly brought a water bowl for our dog, which was a nice touch. However, we had to wait a bit for our waiter to come over. We placed our order right away because we sensed we might not see him again for a while (we only saw him three times during our visit). The appetizer was delicious, and the main dishes were decent. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly spot, this place is ideal, but don’t expect exceptional food or service.

A fantastic spot for lunch in Clayton, Georgia. We stopped by and were taken care of by Renee. We shared a Cheddarburger with fries and BBQ Nachos topped with jalapeños. Renee also whipped up an Arnold Palmer for us. My wife simply had a glass of water. The only reason I rated the food four stars instead of five was that the burger was cooked less than medium, which my wife specifically requested. However, the 8-ounce burger was delicious. Definitely give this place a try when you're in town!
I highly recommend dining at this restaurant; you won't regret it! The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. We started with the Brisket Nachos, which were fantastic—everything, including the BBQ sauce, seemed to be homemade. For my main dish, I had the Caesar salad with chicken, and it was incredibly fresh. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Plus, if you have a dog, you can sit outside, and they even provide a bowl of water for your furry friend. How thoughtful!

A wonderful place for lunch in Clayton, Georgia. We dined outside and Renee took great care of us. We split a cheddar burger with fries and BBQ nachos with jalapenos. Renee mixed an Arnold Palmer that was spot on. My wife had a glass of water. The only reason I gave the food four stars was because the burger came out rare and my wife wanted it medium. The burger was 8 oz and delicious. Give them a try if your in town.
The Universal Joint is a great spot for lunch in the area. We visited on a Sunday and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. The food here is excellent! The egg rolls with mango chutney are a must-try! Their salads and sandwiches are also delicious. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal. They have a good selection of drinks, including fruit juices. Our server, Teressa, took great care of us.
Couldn't see the name before we got there, but it was very busy and we thought we'd venture out to try it! It was so good!! Halved the brisket nachos and the cheddar bacon burger and fries with the hubby. Flavors were spot on. Unfortunately the burger wasn't cooked to medium and the nachos had quite a few that were piled up when fried. Couldn't get them apart. But we made short work of both.
Cool atmosphere in an old service station. The food was pretty good. Nicely busy for a Wednesday afternoon. Firecracker chicken sandwich was very good. My wife had an arugula salad with chicken and loved him. Server was a bit slow and seemed to jump a bit over us. I didn't keep this against the place because they were busy.

I was recommended this place by a local shop, and it turned out to be quite good. I ordered the Steinbeck Burger, and the pimento cheese was excellent. However, the burger patty itself was just average—nothing particularly special.
The atmosphere at Universal Joint is relaxed and people come together here. The burgers are the best send cooked to perfection. Cold beverages and friendly staff. A must stop when in Clayton.
