Our first night in Greenville, our friends showing us around wanted to take us downtown after a local lunch. Beautiful small city. Modern art in the central squares, open air bars and restaurants, musicians playing jazz on corners, pedistrian bridges over the Reedy River falls, statues, shops, and a busy main drag where car and motorcycle owners like to show off. After a long walking tour, starting en route to CAMP, we moved on to cross the river and see Up on the Roof to get a large view of the area. A short wait in the lobby of the Embassy Suites by Hilton due to maximum occupancy requirements, brought us up to this trendy spot for locals to hang out. The employee letting us into the eleva...
This roof top bar and restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, with views of the river and Swamp Rabbit Trail. The bottomless mimosas come in several different flavors (pineapple was my favorite) and the servers are super friendly. The three dishes we tried had great flavors, but were unexpectedly moist. The crispy brussels had zero crisp and the deviled egg filling texture was too wet. The fried green tomatoes came with 3 different sauces on top. All in all, I really like his place. Just keep food texture in mind when ordering if that bothers you.
It was a decent choice for last minute dinner reservations on Christmas Eve. The specialty drink I had was wonderful, but I wouldn't recommend getting a whiskey sour. The music in the dining area was very loud when we got there. Even though I didn't ask for it to be turned down, our waitress realized it bothered us, so she turned it down. After that, conversing was much easier. Overall, it was a nice place to eat.
I know it was Father's Day, but good service with excellent food goes hand in hand every day. I would say the first experience to this well known for its view and service has failed me. Okay, I will always provide a second opportunity to redeem them self. We will pop up again in one week to see if this was a fluke or just poor service and management. Where are the fries. Y’all!!! This place is fantastic!!! The food is amazing, the service was great and the vibes…. Top notch!!!! If you’ve ever put on the earth, wind, and fire playlist and jammed to that and LOVED it you will love this place! You can see the mountains in the background and the sun setting on them is absolute perfection good job, Up on the Roof!!
Can’t beat the downtown rooftop vibe here. Food is great (when things are actually available) and atmosphere is great! Service can be great but often is slow to check on you and seems like you can never find your server when needed. As long as you don’t come in with high expectations for service, you’ll have a great time.
This was my first time there and went with some friends for drinks. The views are great and the ambiance was good. I ordered Heat of the moment and it was ok maybe a little too strong for me. Drinks were kind of expensive. We didn’t ordered any food because we already had dinner.
Was invited to share a meal with new and old friends. I really enjoyed the unique food and atmosphere. The scenery was wonderful during the holiday season. We stayed at the Embassy Suites for one night and noticed many people headed to the bar so we took a peek. This place has million dollar views. Just incredible! The next time we visit, we’ll be back and we will definitely order some food. This bar is a must!
