We stopped coming here but it had been so long we couldn't exactly remember why, came in for lunch and while the service was fine the food was pretty awful. We started with calamari appetizer, it came minutes after ordering and was literally fish sticks, no tentacles or discernable squid parts literally pre frozen fish sticks of calamari that had a fishy taste served with a weird sauce that was just off. We shared the halibut fish and chips, upon arrival, to our dismay, there were two tiny fish sticks of halibut, they were so small, just slightly bigger than the squid fish sticks, we looked at the waitress like seriously two tiny pieces of fish? Went for the Sunday Brunch. I had steak and eggs my wife had biscuits gravy. My steak was perfectly cooked rare and the eggs were spot on over easy and the potatoes were crispy. My wife said her plate was very tasty as well. The waitress sat us down and came back to take our order after about 10 min.(a little long). She took our order and left. The food arrived after approximately 20 min. But we still hadn't received our drinks. my wife and I wanted to check out a new spot downtown and we picked out this place. We stopped in on Mother's Day and they were slammed. We only had to wait about 10 min for a table. Our waitress Kylie was super friendly and made some good drink and food suggestions. She went above and beyond on customer service. We know how short staffed places can be lately and we felt she did an amazing job.We will be coming back and if Kylie is working, we will have to sit in her section again. I ordered the fish and chips, which were outstanding—perfectly cooked and flavorful. My wife had the steak bite entrée, and it was delicious too. Our drinks were expertly crafted as well. It's not too busy during the weekdays, making it a great time to visit. Food: 5/5.
My main issue, however, was the excessively long wait for a glass of wine. I had almost finished my dinner by the time it arrived, which was surprising given the restaurant's reputation for its extensive wine selection. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations.
