I've never been a big fan of fusion cuisine and this restaurant exemplifies why. With that in mind we decided to concentrate our attention on the Asian aspect of the menu. We were pleasantly received by a young lady who greeted us with a cool...glass of cucumber lemon water. Not a big fan of altered water especially when it involves cucumber. I like my cucumber between 2 slices of bread on a sunny summer day watching cricket. We decided to keep our menu choices simple; some pan fried dumplings and each a Pho (soup). This cozy Asian fusion restaurant is our favorite dim sum / brunch on weekends. It is located in charming Aylmer near the river and only 10 minutes by car from Ottawa. The food is fantastic and the owners are a pleasure. Every month or so they show... the work of a new artist and they have recently begun to serve on their beautiful terrace. If you like light and tasty dumplings, salads and desserts, this is the place for you. Their main dishes are hearty and luscious as well. Do a favor and give Urasie an attempt. You will not be disappointed!
We drove there because we could find a table in our favorite restaurant in Aylmer, and I expected the regular pho restaurant, so no high expectations at all, especially if I saw this small cozy place without any pretensions. But from the... beginning with the great service of this super friendly lady we were surprised. I am not a big fan of fusion, but this place has amazed me; not only how good the food is, but also the presentation. We're definitely coming back.
We tried the dimsum as brunch, which is $32. It comes with a soup and a plate of dimsum, lots of stuffs. They are very delicious. I love the ceviche with mango and orange, and the meat ball with sticky rice...It was so good i...finished them all, then the dessert...the mille-feuille crepe with golden kiwi was too big to finish! (although it taste perfect).
We went there for the dim sum, the person serving us which seemed to be the owner was very very nice and a good seller, he persuaded us to take the dim sum making us believe it would be an amazing experience. The soup was...ok and the main dishes was very small and not to our expectation. We wanted to try it, we won't recommend it nor go back!
I am a huge fan of Phö and wanted to try this place for a while since its near the marina. super location ! We only took the phö the broth wasn’t tasty .. it was good but tasted like water and veggies : didn’t...try anything else but the dumplings looked soooo good from someone else plate lol
The food we ordered was excellent. My husband chose the New York Steak and I took the vegetarian Pho (soup). The summer rolls were also great. The service was also very good. We enjoyed our meal. We're coming back to Urasie. Pauline and Peter
Owner was present and very friendly.. even sang happy birthday to me in polish I think it was !! The restaurant is very quaint.. not many tables inside but I prefer that type of setting...
We dropped in for lunch at this friendly, well appointed (white linen table cloths) restaurant near the water front. What awesome Pho, Cream Curry Chicken and vegetable roll!
