Va Bene Italian Eatery

I ordered pizza tonight and I think it was the worst pizza I’ve had in Kansas City. Small, cheese and meat on cardboard and very expensive at $25. When I called to complain I have to say that the manager was very accommodating and customer service does make a difference. But I have eaten at this restaurant and have had much better food so come on let’s get your act together. I want you to succeed as a neighborhood restaurant. The place is cute and waiter was friendly but the food was mediocre. I think this is more of a lunch spot. I ordered the bolognese and my dish arrived with no meat on it. I asked the waiter if the bolognese was supposed to have a meat sauce and he said yes. Then looked at my bowl and said “looks light on the sauce, I’ll get you some more” then he brought me about 1/4cup of sauce that was mostly cream-zero meat In it. We had a large family lunch sat VaBene. Our waitress was wonderful, professional, personable, and quite witty! We all enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We'll go back for sure!

Great Italian restaurant for any occasion. I had the salmon entree. Was prepared perfectly. Service was great. I would definitely eat there again, and recommend to anyone in the KC area.

I’ve been here twice and can say that their pizzas are better than their pastas! The staff is nice and they have great gluten free options!
