My parents moved to Colonia in the late 60's--found Vaccaro's Bakery and we were hooked. When I married Vaccaro's made my wedding cake--as my 4 children were christened, Vaccaro's made their christening cakes. Raising my children, every Sunday was mass and a clown cupcake. My children are now grown and raising children of their own with clown cupcakes and iced crumb buns. I have a soldier overseas during the holidays and sent him a plastic shoebox filled with Vaccaro treats. Vaccaro's continues to touch our life in so many ways.
I grew up near Vaccaro's Colonia location, and I've always found their food to be delicious. However, this month was my first time ordering a customized cake. It was absolutely perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly throughout the process. Since I now live an hour away, they graciously accommodated my order via email and phone. I sent them the pictures I wanted to incorporate into the cake to match a vintage Alice in Wonderland theme. Eileen and her husband did an amazing job!
Vaccaro's has always been a basic attitude in my family! I remember going with my Grandma Alma Palmquist on Sundays to get reels and bagels. Once I even made a trip from PA just to get rye bread and rolls and oh to die their coffee cake..omg. I'll have to talk to you soon. But I could go on. Best bakery BY FAR!!
Just as delicious as I remembered from my childhood! I placed my order in advance and requested packaging for travel. Everything arrived across the country in perfect condition, allowing me to share it with the rest of my family.

Had a great job on our wedding cake. It was a beautiful design and it tasted delicious. The price was also very good. It was worth every penny!!! I would definitely recommend this bakery to everyone.

Make sure to visit the neighborhood where I used to live just five blocks away. It features the best bakery in the world!
Very nice baked goods, but wished it were shown prices so that you are not surprised by the height of the invoice....
