The experience was.... interesting. They have a unique and big location for the town. However, the customer service was uncomfortable and questionable. It seemed they want a specific (older) demographic. We did the basic wine tasting. It was not offered with cheese, crackers, or even water! Water is at an extra charge, and Vivian made sure we knew that.The tasting.... each pour was a literal splash of wine and per what was available. We couldn 't choose the wines. Although the winery tour may not be as extravagant as some others in the country, I found Rudy's genuine approach and informative descriptions to be endearing. It felt like listening to a wise grandfather sharing stories with his grandchildren. His passion was palpable in his calm demeanor, and I found the experience to be quite enlightening. The wine tasting was fantastic and well worth the visit fee. I appreciated the concept of not being able to choose the wines to taste, as it allowed us to sample the best wines that the couple had to offer at that moment. My husband and I went here and had the most amazing evening. The wine was outstanding and we bought a case for home. The quality of the wine is so outstanding that no headache at all. They don't have any additives and only use the grapes they grow on the property. It was so much fun we brought our kids back the following week. Definitely our families favorite place to visit. While driving past in my semi truck, I noticed Valentino’s Vineyards and decided to stop by after work. The owner, Mr. Rudolf, was incredibly polite and took the time to give me a tour of the winery. The beautiful layout of the location was impressive, and he invited me back on Saturday to taste test some wines and purchase any that I liked. I will never forget the kindness he showed in opening his heart to a stranger just passing by. Thank you, Mr. Rudolf, for that wonderful memory. I am looking forward to scheduling another tour with you on my friend's birthday in 2024, and I hope we can either visit when you are open or schedule a private event with our group of friends. We visited the winery 2 weeks ago to have the wine tour. The owner was super friendly and humor, he walked us through the wine yard, sharing his experience growing the grapes, taking care of the land and how he made the wine in the cellar. We also see ripen grapes on the tree! The winery is well-organized, I can see how much love and efforts that the owner put into it. The tour came with a tasting, we tasted 5 different wines, the quality of the wines are pretty amazing! I would highly recommend visiting the winery if you are looking for some good wines!
Really disappointed in the tour. The gentleman who was giving the tour showed up super late, was demeaning to his wife, and kept forgetting what he was talking about. After a brief vineyard tour, we went back inside, only to watch a video of the same exact thing we just witnessed. 3/4 wines all tasted the same and to be frank it was just very disappointing. It all tastes very similar. I love supporting small businesses, however this was a joke. I've had better tasting wine from Aldi for God's sake!!!Never going back.
The owners of this restaurant are really lovely and it's cool that they grow their own grapes and make their own wine there. We did a wine tasting, but unfortunately we weren't able to choose which wines we wanted to try - they just gave us what was open. We usually go to Lynfred, but wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the taste of the wine. The website stated that it was $12 per person, but we were charged $15 with tax.
