Everytime I come Southend I gotta have fish and chips... its a must! I found this place through researching best fish and chips in Southend... and honestly it ticked all my boxes... it was the best I've had... good portion, fresh fish, outstanding and friendly service... especially with my 4 year old taking time on making her mind up where to sit the staff were so patient... child friendly place. I got myself large codfish and chips and lil one kids meal cod n chips too... the batter on the fish had this crunch to it and melts in your mouth, not like a chewy texture, too good ...im coming back here again everytime I come Southend... this will be my fish and chips spot now on.
Whenever we visit Southend-on-Sea, we always make sure to stop by the best fish and chips restaurant in town. The restaurant is clean with plenty of tables, and even has a seating area out back. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always checking to make sure everything is okay. The atmosphere is relaxed, with no rush to finish your meal. The food is always cooked fresh and the coffee is delicious and creamy. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Southend. You'll love it and won't want to go anywhere else. We can't wait to come back next year!
Came here as my friend researched the best place for a gluten free fish and chips in Southend, and that is certainly what we got! The batter was absolutely spot on, and the chips were so tasty as well and not greasy. We sat in to eat and experienced amazing service, the restaurant was very clean and tidy and had a lovely calm atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next trip to the seaside for another visit!
Came out of the station a tad hungry saw this chippy got a portion of chips and a battered sausage asked if I could have two forks as sharing upon which the owner gave me another scoop of chips dressed with salt and vinegar found a walk to sit on and devoured everything it was beautiful chips fried to perfection crispy on the outside fluffy inside definitely recommend lovely

The cod and chips at this restaurant were incredibly fresh and delicious. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, not overshadowed by the batter, and the chips were just right. We enjoyed our meal in the outdoor seating area at the back, and the service was good. Located near the railway station, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit off the main strip.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the delicious haddock and chips, served with homemade coleslaw. The pot of tea was very nice as well. The restaurant is simple and pleasant, offering both dine-in and takeaway options. The food was served piping hot, with crispy batter and flavorful fish. We will definitely return when we are in Southend again!
We've been coming here for takeaways and to eat-in since they opened the Clifftown Road restaurant. And again today. Quality fish, perfectly cooked in light batter, chips just right and not too greasy. Still the best chippie in Southend as far as I'm concerned.

I had a burger and chips, bun was a bit hard. O couldn't get to tell them though. Otherwise the food was OK. The service is reasonable
