We ordered the oyster beef with rice and the Hainan chicken. Both dishes came with a choice of milky or lemony ice cream and a soup. The tea, although a basic lemon flavor, was surprisingly good and refreshing. The soup had tomato and cauliflower and was slightly sweet and sour, which was not quite to my liking. As for the Hainan chicken, it was just okay. The portions were a bit small, but it was served with creative yellow rice and some edamame on the side. The flavors were decent, nothing too special. Great food, clean and organized atmosphere. Excellent quality for the price. A lovely spot for breakfast. They offer a large cup of tea (with lemon) or coffee for free. Even when busy, they serve quickly. All items are natural with no rushed eating.
I had the century egg and lean pork congee along with a drink during happy hour. The portions were generous. The congee was a bit thin but still quite good overall. It wasn’t busy around 3 PM on a weekday, and the service was excellent.

The woman at the restaurant was very rude to us because we didn’t know they only accepted cash. This was my first visit to Venus Cafe, and overall, it was a disappointing experience. I suggest going to San Jose instead.
Venus Cafe offers the best fried chicken sandwich in the city! I’m a huge fan of their spicy chicken sandwich paired with curly fries. Their menu never disappoints, making it my favorite lunch destination!
Venus Cafe is a cosy place to have a bite of Hong Kongese most iconic meals... And way more than that. One can also find western meals, Chinese meals. Very affordable, amazing value for money.
You can't expect too much from the food quality given the very affordable prices. This restaurant is a great option for those on a tight budget.
