Went there at six pm on a Friday and there was only one other person there, which should've been a hint. The "vera burgers" were reasonably priced at $7 so we ordered two burgers, two fries and two drinks - how does that add up to $26? The burger pattys themselves were okay - nothing great and the fries were quite good. The girl at the counter wasn't exactly surly but she didn't exactly radiate warmth either. It was around freezing outside and because there's glass panels at floor level, our feet were freezing sitting at the table. Probably won't be back as there's a Carl's Jr opening soon in Maple Ridge, just a couple of klicks down the road.
I use to love this place! When I walked in I saw the girl grab raw chicken and throw them on the grill, to the freezer and grab frozen patties or breasts I don't remember and put them wherever she needed to and Then continued to come take out order I almost wanted to ask her to wash her hands but I didn't want to be rude. She took out order grabbed our patties for that order and put them on the grill and came out and cleaned off tables I seriously did not see her wash her hands once it made us feel sick! We haven't been back since which is a shame.
I have been to Vera's several times and the food was good, but I have a hard time spending almost $40 for two burgers, fries and drinks. The only decent deal is if you buy the daily special and it includes the fries and a drink, which makes it a bit better deal.If they would drop their prices, I am sure that they would see more patronage especially people such as myself that live within walking distance.
On our west coast trip the fam promised to try a new restaurant every meal. This place will not be marked as a sucess.1 Chicken strips are both larger and tastier at Costco2. Didnt have what i wanted so had to order aomething else.3 52 bucks for chicken strips sliders and a beer a bit much.I am glad I tried wont try again.
We have eaten there a couple of times and found the burgers to be okay. The staff and restaurant need a bit of an overhaul, so it questions the quality of the food. We found it to be a bit pricey for what you get. Probably wouldn't go back as there are pubs nearby with great burgers.
Ordered 2 regular burgers and a plain kids burger with 2 regular fries, no drinks, It came to almost $35 The garlic mayo overpowered the burgers, and only half the fries were edible. On the positive side, the staff were friendly so that it saved it from only getting 1 star
We were waitng for a family member to finish shopping so we decided to order some hamburgers as take away- must say they were quite good and freshly made a bit on the high side the pricing but then you get what you pay for goes well here!Will surely go again
had an amazing experience! the food was to die for and the staff were so friendly and upbeat! the kids loved the chicken fingers and sliders and I was able to enjoy a quality burger and not have to settle for MCDonalds for the kids.
Burger patty is very bland/unseasoned. Garlic mayo on the bun overpowers everything else. Prices are outrageous. 2 burgers and soft drinks came to $31.00 including tax.
