Vera's Burger Shack

First Timer. Yesterday was my first visit to Vera's i had heard a lot of great things about this place but never made the trek downtown to try it out. So to my surprise i was doing some Christmas shopping and noticed the Taco Del Mar had become a Vera's. I decided to give it a try and was impressed by the variety of the menu, Most notably a lamb burger jumped out at me. Being that it was my first visit i decided to try a more standard burger and went with the BBQ burger.This burger is topped with bacon provolone cheese a tangy bbq sauce and the standard fixings. The burger was fantastic, The only thing i would change is how thick cut the tomatoes are, But if u like tomatoes you will be fine....

Loved it.. I completely disagree with the onion rings comment. I am not even a fan of onion rings and never have been until I had them at this vera's location! To be honest, I have had vera's a handful of times at the UBC and Davie street location and was not incredibly impressed, until I had it here. Their turkey burgers are to die for...and you should definately take more than 2 bites before you judge the burger. 2 bites barely gets you past the bread, you haven't even got to the good part of the burger yet! GOOD TIMES, GOOD FOOD. The food at this location was refreshing. You can tell that this location is owner operated. The owner introduced himself while asking how are experience was at his store. He genuinely cared about our experience and the quality of the food. I was impressed how fast and efficient the staff was with are order as it was very busy. I would recommend this Vera's to all my friends and family especially with the huge T.V.s. I was able to watch the game while enjoying my great burger and fries. Awesome! For all you wussified men and women that are complaining about your burger being 'greasy ' It 's Jucy, like a steak. Seriously, if you dont like real burgers you 'd better stick to the plastic **** they sell and fast food joints. Vera 's was great! I had the BbQ burger. The fries are indeed not much to get excited about but if your going to a specialty burger joint for fries your probably weak anyway. GO CARNIVORES!

Good Food, Expensive. I have gone here a few times and I have always had a good experience. Good food, clean building, friendly staff. I just have a hard time justifying $17 for a Burger with Fries and Drink. If they dropped prices so it was around $12 Avg I would go there a lot more.

Decent burger, but in the end not worth the price. 2 burgers and 1 side of fries $27? C'mon mannnn. Also, never had a bad poutine until Vera's. The price just doesn't match the quality of food.

Vera's never fails to satisfy my cravings for burger. It's always delicious. It's made to order so everything is fresh. Their fries are delicious too. Very pricey but for me it's worth it.

It was pretty expensive, but I was pretty impressed with the taste. It tasted really good and it was very filling
