I think the meat at Hawksmoor is the best in the city, hands down. But went to Sunday Roast and was underwhelmed. There was a single piece of roast, about 1/2 thick, served with some Brussel sprouts, potatoes, and an incredible piece of Yorkshire pudding. But for $45 I would have expected much more than 4oz of meat. I was seated on opening and the meat itself was somehow dry. Just disappointing. The quality of the sides was quite good. Also disappointed that a British establishment serving a classic Sunday roast didn't have Pimm's Cup. Highly recommend the meat here for dinner or any other time. The vibe was fun but overall this part of their work is a pass.
As a regular in the Spitalfields industry, I can confirm that NYC is not disappointed. The Sunday roast was top quality cooked with beef for perfection and beautiful crispy roast potatoes. The Louisiana shrimps I had to start were delicious with the right height of heat. The mint cookie Sundae was good- although no patch on the sticky toffee version. The waiting staff was really knowledgeable and made me very welcome as a solo dinner. Great experience - thanks Team Hawksmoor

the noise level was unbearable. it is impossible to turn around without screaming. we will definitely not come back. the staff was great
