WORST ever experience!! The HOST Eric is a Con man he literally loots people! PLEASE BEWARE, he just looking for some reason to kick you out and doesn’t even return the deposit and the money. First he didn’t let us book from Air BnB and asked us to pay in cash. And then randomly barges into the room saying you’re out! Thank God my husband didn’t fall for his random statements and we stayed but then in the end he told that the deposit will be returned in a day or 2, so when we called he said “shut up I don’t owe you anything”Also on air bnb it says that the apt has amenities but NO WE DIDNT have any pots or pans just 2 plates and a bowl had to get everything since we had a stay for a month.Th...
Beautiful Historic Park, Home of 1 of 5 Negro League Stadiums in operation! Also Art Pinky Deras Field, held first tennis camps in US…This place is on the come back!! Tennis is back, baseball, soccer…Just opened Hamtramck Stadium Grandstand after decades of neglect. It’s beautiful! Hamtramck Parks is a new org working to revamp park from front to back! The stadium restrooms are next to be redone. The park is starting to be cleaned regularly, community Park clean ups are happening, volunteer events, and educational camps for kids. Hamtramck, it’s back. It’s time to come back to check this park again and see the transition.Also a stop on the Joe Lewis Green Way that’s coming to Metro Detroit!!
We haven’t finished our stay yet but I feel like someone needs to clear up these bad reviews. I booked with Erik on air bnb and before arriving read numerous negative reviews. However once we arrived Erik was kind, funny, and organized. He clearly outlined rules against smoking and partying and if I had to guess, most of the negative reviews for this location are from guests who did not follow his guidelines. We are still in our stay and are thrilled with how it’s going so far. DO NOT BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Give this place and Erik a chance and you will without a doubt be pleasantly surprised.
Pleasantly surprised by this historic baseball field. Once in disarray it is being once again renovated. The baseball field and soccer area are really nice. Once they redo the bleachers it will be an amazing community Field.Right now it's clean there are tables and picnic pavilions to enjoy. Porta potties so you can be down there a little while. There's lots of Open Fields and playgrounds and an old tennis court.They seem to have a lot of community events they were cleaning up from a carnival and were preparing for a weekend long sports tournament. **Pros:** + Conveniently located near downtown with plenty of nearby dining options + Affordable rates + Clean rooms + Felt secure with a personalized access code for the building **Cons:** - Had to wait 30 minutes for check-in, despite arriving after the designated time, as the owner wasn’t on-site and we had to wait for him to arrive. - I was informed that I needed to keep the thermostat set to 72 degrees, as it affects the temperature in other rooms. - The hotel is not clearly marked from the outside.
The room itself was in awful condition. The owner, Erik, is truly a nightmare in the hospitality industry. It’s clear that he’s in the wrong line of work. We left as soon as we saw the inside of the place. Out of the $500 I had paid for a few days, I only got $250 back after spending less than 20 minutes there. Save yourself the trouble and do not book here.
Hamtramck's only park is its largest, and unfortunately, there aren't any other parks in the area. However, the playground is nice.
