I love this place! I have been going here on and off for 30 years and it always offers a great selection of Portuguese staples at great prices and with lovely, friendly staff. There’s also a set lunch for workers which can be ordered at the bar (never done this but I do like to see all the regulars come and go . I always enjoy the caldo verde, seafood rice, grilled squid, hake and the pork steak (normally not all together! . If you get the English menu some of the translations make things sound less appetising and a few things are mysteriously missed off! ‘White fish’ for example is actually delicious lightly fried hake fillets. It can get busy at lunchtimes so you may need to wait for a tab...
This restaurant is on the main road and has an outdoor seating area. The interior is spacious. We had three types of rissois for starters. My partner ordered polvo and I asked for lulas. The food was served with the usual potatoes and a tiny salad. The taste was all right but I swear there were only 15 tiny slices of squid on my plate. So stingy. In other places I’ve eaten at, for less than that price, the serving would have been much bigger. It was too bad we didn’t go check out the side streets first where there were more restaurant options.

Comida saborosa e serviço impecável. jantar mais do que delicioso. nós fomos atendidos por alex, muito educado, atencioso e gentil, sempre pronto para fazer a nossa refeição perfeita. as porções são muito generosas, seguindo a boa tradição portuguesa. Don t understand the bad reviews. Everywhere in portugal you pay for the starter even in spain. So beuh. Waiter was very sweet and food was excellent! We had the bacalhao de Vianamar. Nothing more to add. Just try it out. Price was in my opinion also very okay. Didn t felt to expensive
Excellent restaurant with outside seating focused on Portuguese Seafood The Grilled prawns with butter, EVOO and garlic and the Bacalhau VianaMar are both excellent. Our waiter also recommended the Arroz de Tamboril com Gambas. Excellent fresh seafood!

Comida excepcional do melhor que há na cidade. Todo o staff é super bom e prestável.
