The she-crab soup was the best! 5 stars for that. The fried chicken was 4.5 stars. The seasoning was perfect, but I would have to say that I thought the chicken was just a tad overcooked. The onion casserole was a big hit at our table. Waitress was very attentive. But, we have to ding them on their bathroom. There was a very strong putrid, sickening odor coming up from the drainage pipe. I literally had to hold my breath.
We were running late on our reservation. Called and was assured we would be ok. Actually arrived sooner than we thought. The greeter was very nice and commented we did well on time. Our server was very nice and helpful in describing the drinks we were curious about. The food came out as expected and tasted great. Everyone was happy with the meal and the restaurant was full, but not loud. Great spot for southern food.
The atmosphere at this restaurant was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. Our server was polite and attentive, and the menu options all looked fantastic. The appetizer of fried onion rings and pickles was the best we've ever had, and the dishes were beautifully plated. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were excellent.
We had an 8:15 dinner reservation, and then at 8:30, our server told us the kitchen was closing. On a Saturday night. On the main street. Why even have 8:15 as an option if you don't want to serve dinner? The food was meh compared to all the amazing options in Charleston. Don't waste your time here. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Virginia’s on King is our favorite “go to” brunch spot when in Charleston and it did not disappoint!! The service was AMAZING! The mimosas were AMAZING! The food was AMAZING! The environment was AMAZING!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
The restaurant was friendly, and attentive to our needs. The drinks were good. The sides and appetizer were excellent. My pork chop was overcooked. That was our only complaint.
Everything was delicious! Fried chicken, blackened salmon on angel hair pasta, cornbread, green beans, red rice and banana pudding to top it off!
