I made a dinner reservation for 5 people tonight. We all arrived on time, were given menus, and selected our meal choices. At the time, we were the only group in the restaurant. Three other customers came in after us. We waited 30 minutes for our waiter, who never returned. We tried to get the attention of another waiter to place our order, but after another 15 minutes passed without any service, we decided to leave. This was disappointing, as Vitale's used to be a favorite spot for dining with friends. We had our rehearsal dinner here many years ago and were surprised by the lack of service. I was just there twice. The first time was very good. The second time was pretty good, but with some setbacks. Maybe I was this second time, but I got half a menu instead of a full menu. The food was very, very good. There was only one thing that almost messed up my appetite for dessert. When my dessert came out, there was a dirty spoon on the plate that was used. I had to use a knife and my hands to eat my dessert. It was good, but I wish I had a clean spoon to eat it right. For the menu and the Dessert spoon is why I had to give it four stars. It was still a good experience.
We have made reservations after my daughter group, and we were very satisfied with everything from food and drinks to the sublime service. Our server, Luis, was extremely attentive to all and together with kitchen staff, brought out dishes in time, along with drinks or everything needed. When we arrived, the section that was provided that gave us privacy was nicely furnished, with 2 additional tables at opposite ends for cakes, decorations etc. Overall, I recommend for intimate meetings. I look forward to maintaining future events.
This restaurant was hands down the best dining experience we've ever had. It was perfect for our large group, and the owner even waited outside for our motorcoach to arrive. The service was exceptional and the portion sizes were huge. Overall, it was simply the best! They provided parking for our 45-foot motorcoach and the average price per person for dinner was $30-50.
