When she returned, she brought back only $2.00, having rounded my bill up on her own initiative to $28. I kindly asked where the rest of my change was, and she explained her reasoning, insisting that the bill was $28 because she had rounded up. However, that wasn’t the case. I inquired if there was a new policy I wasn’t aware of, but she dismissed my question, brushing it off as if it were my fault and that she was doing me a favor by overlooking it.
I have never encountered a restaurant that handles money so carelessly and unilaterally decides on tips for takeout orders. My husband and I frequent this place and usually leave over 22% in gratuity because we understand that times are tough....
Naydelin was a great server! Very friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was amazing everything came out in an orderly fashion. The birria taco was hands down the best I've tried, of all the restaurants in Bergen county. The broth that came with it was honestly so full of flavor, just delicious. The decor indoor was absolutely beautiful. Also the margaritas were on point! I would recommend! They always are so nice and friendly here. Idk y the reviews don't reflect this. They also have great deals !
For our main courses, I had a shrimp chimichanga with red sauce while my sister chose the chicken fajitas. Neither was terrible, but they certainly lacked flavor. I felt the chimichanga was more tortilla than shrimp, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the service was great; our waiter was attentive, and the bathroom was very clean.
The margaritas—Viva Berry Passion, Ice Bluecaracha, and Black Widow—are a must-try! Overall, would I return? Probably just for the margaritas.
Well I ordered our dinner from beyond menu as instructed for pick up, arriving 50 minutes later to pick it up and it was still in the fax machine. The 2nd worker, 1st one had no clue) was very apologetic and said they would cook it and deliver it asap. Well 2 hours later and 3 phone calls if they even answer) I got no where. So to cancel the order he said I had to try and get it thru the app that I was told to order it from. Never got my money back or my food as of this posting.

I’m giving this place five stars just for the margarita and the salsa and chips! We didn’t have time to eat since we were just waiting for someone, but the food looked amazing. The bartender was very friendly and greeted us with a smile! There was a large family gathering in the restaurant all speaking Spanish, so I assume they loved it too!
Always have a great time at the Viva in Cliffside! Love their guac and margaritas. Friendly staff and good service. It's a fun spot to go to with friends. Not fancy or upscale but it's got all the good vibes for a Mexican restaurant!
The food is good and the Margaritas, love the festive ambiance specially in summer though the edgewater branch is always crowded in summer time but it's fun to eat, drink and hangout with friends and family, can't wait to visit again
Ordered food on Saturday and we were waiting for 2 hours and after calling about 10 times and waiting for an update we gave up. The manager of the restaurant who I spoke to did not show any sympathy. He just canceled the order.
