Voila! is easily visible once you turn onto Brambleton, and thankfully, it has its own parking right out front. We patiently waited in our car until Voila! opened at 5 PM, and to our delight, our dedicated server greeted us as we entered and escorted us to our table. Alrighty let 's get right to it. Deciding where to take my wife to celebrate her birthday is no easy feat. Starting looking around, researching, and boom I landed on Voila, and we were not disappointed. Not one bit, we arrived promptly around 7:25, for our 7:30 reservation, when walking you can tell this is the place to be. Walking in immediately greeted by the hostess, within seconds we are off to our seats. Once seated our waiter comes over and helps us settle in. Both the wife and I settle on the French Onion Soup, for starters it was amazing baked to perfection, chunky with sautéed onions, cooked to perfection. Wow, what an incredible meal with outstanding service! I can't believe this is the last month to enjoy it. The escargots were delightful—tender helix snails simmered in white wine, butter, garlic, red peppers, and parsley. The Moules Provencale featured slow-cooked mussels with garlic, Bermuda onions, and tomatoes, all tossed in a light wine cream sauce. The Solomon Exohiko was a highlight, with pan-seared salmon topped with a delicious medley of spinach, feta, and fresh dill, wrapped in crispy filo pastry and baked to perfection. They don 't make 'em like Voila anymore. There 's nowhere as classy, as kind, and as genuinely tasty as Voila in Norfolk. Voila will be sorely sorely missed when it closes permanently on July 15, 2023. (Reservation only until then. It has been a family go-to, a personal favorite, and the best celebratory spot period.
