And now, I have to celebrate the excellent meal, service and gorgeous ambiance of Volver y Carne Alma Argentinian steakhouse in the Lumiar neighborhood of Lisbon. The discreet door to this restaurant open into an elegant and yet welcoming interior. Within second, you're surrounded by attentive and smiling staff who seem as happy to see you as you are to be there. In all honesty, this is a part of Lisbon we normally would seek our a dining experience; it's off the tourist trail, indeed. But we will make it a point to return whenever we can. This restaurant is about 15 min in taxa from the old town but def worth the taxi or uber ride. Don't be worried about the slightly anonymous exterior because when you get inside you come in to a very nice restaurant. The restaurant was full and mainly with local residents which usually also always guarantee quality and especially since the restaurant have been there for many year. We were greeted with very friendly faces and a great atmosphere. The food was of great quality and one of the best steaks i have had in a long time. Would recommend to book a table ahead of time. Highly recommend and will be back on my next visit to Lisbon
We made a last minute reservation and were pleasantly surprised! Very good service, customers are treated like true guests and the food is amazing. Truly good from starters to desserts. If i would have to say something “negative”, it would be that the more expensive meat is not very large. This is to share and isn’t really much (still delicious tho). Definitely recommended place!
A lovely place. A comfortable, cozy restaurant with a fine menu and attentive and friendly service. We were a group of six and all of us enjoyed the meal, the food, the atmosphere, the staff. My husband and I ordered the Wellington beef and the mushroom risotto, both of them an excellent choice. Though it´s a bit pricey, it is a restaurant that we highly recommend. Cool chic decor and lighting. The perfect date location or friends get together. The service was exceptional super attentive. We also felt very safe, every COVID measure was taken to make sure we felt protected. Now to the food the beef wellington was amazing and the sides delicious. My friends had steaks all perfectly cooked to order. We didn’t try the puddings
I picked this restaurant for good review, but the food was disappointing to me. Service good, the hostess great too but much of the food and drink was average, specially side dish. With the price we paid I expect at least something new and mouthwatering complimentary from chef but didn't happen.
Comida excelente! Carne de alta qualidade. Wellington muito saboroso. Recomendo a entrada Causa de Gamba y Tortilla de maseca azul , uma explosão de sabores do mar que é um belo início para preparar as carnes que depois virão. Ambiente muito tranquilo.
