I do like Waba Grill but I don't like this particular restaurant. They do need to improve their sanitation/cleaning/hygienes as well as their customer service. When I walked in, the person in charge of the front counter was cleaning and wiping the tables.The others in the kitchen saw me waiting to be served but nobody else came over to help me as they were busy too. It was okay. I threw on the avocado from home and it made it better but the chicken portion was extremely skimpy, 75% was rice. I usually avoid leaving negative reviews unless absolutely necessary because I don't want to waste my time. However, my experience at Waba Grill today was awful. I already find it a bit pricey, but this time they really let me down. As you can see in my photo, the bowl was mostly rice with just a few pieces of protein. On top of that, I paid an extra $3 for avocado. I ended up paying $15 for mostly rice. I wouldn’t recommend this Waba Grill. To make matters worse, the cashier also doubled as the server.
Gross, figured I?d give it a shot due to everywhere else being super busy. Oh man, did i regret going to this place. The steak that should be soft and juicy was instead old, hard and crunchy, the chicken wasn?t good either same as the steak. Veggies where barley cooked almost raw and rice was waaaaaaaay overcooked and old. I would not recommend eating here, unless you have a death wish or an iron belly that can handle luke warm trash. I threw my food in the garbage.

Possibly the best teriyaki place in LA. I admit that I haven?t been to all of them, but the teriyaki sauce here is spot on to Hawaiian style teriyaki. Sweet, savory, with ponzu style flavor. Only flavor missing was a hint of ginger. I ordered the Teri beef and chicken combo. Chicken was tender, beef was slightly overcooked but it still was tender. Service was friendly and order came out fast.
New to the area, was hunting for something delicious. Must say i wasn't disappointed. Its pretty good. I was skeptical at first because when i entered it was just empty with just 1 other lady waiting for her take away at the counter. Had the WaBa with Veggies Bowl. Its actually not bad, definitely go back for a meal/snack another time.
The teriyaki chicken bowl was delicious. The vegetables were steamed just right, and the chicken was nicely charred with great flavor. The food could have been served a bit warmer, as the chicken seemed to have been sitting for a while, but we did arrive an hour before closing.
If I’m paying $13 for a chicken bowl and all I receive is a bowl of rice, avocado, and just five pieces of chicken, it’s going to get a bad review. I’d be better off going to Pollo Loco for the same price or less and getting a much larger portion of chicken.
