Very disappointed in our first time experience with this restaurant.The setup is bizarre you order at the counter and then sit in the dining room to wait for a server to bring out the food.But they have a full menu, including alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks like Milkshakes and Adult milkshakes. But you can’t order alcohol with your meal, you have to order it at the bar separately apparently? (According to the cashier waiter The food was average at best. I mean, government cheese on the menu?! But beyond that, the buns were soggy from grease and/or juices, the hamburgers were poorly cooked (almost raw looking in the middles , the sweet potato tots were tasteless and soft, not crispy...
From outside, the restaurant looks like a very healthy place with lots of vegetarian options but you’d barely find 1 vegetarian option.We got a quick chili fries thinking it’ll just be something spicy because we didn’t want to order the ONE vegetarian option Impossible Burger!They first got the order with meat and then were very rude (except one server at the entrance) when we asked them why it had meat! Then they got us fries with a thin line of mayo on top, with a very weird face!They didn’t even provide any utensils and just left!Never going back again!
I also got a fountain drink with my meal, but had to try three different ones before finding one that wasn't too watered down or overly syrupy, which was quite frustrating. I'm not sure if this is how the restaurant usually operates or if the staff simply neglected to maintain the drinks properly, but that experience left a lot to be desired.
I wouldn’t choose to return to this location, although I might give it another chance in the future to see if it was just a bad day. Still, that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.
During a leisurely Friday evening at 7 PM, I was disappointed to find that the first two burgers I ordered were sold out. It took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, my wife’s burger was missing a large part of the bottom bun. Additionally, her onion tanglers were served cool instead of warm or hot, and her burger was drenched in grease. While they did bring a fresh batch of tanglers and offered to replace her burger, we declined as we didn’t want to wait another half hour.

The bottom bun was drenched in grease, and the food was undercooked. The service was not up to par either. This experience was starkly different from other Whalburger locations. The prices are far too high for the quality offered. I felt embarrassed for our out-of-town guests since we had raved about the place and made a special effort to bring them here. I won’t be returning.
The service wasn't bad at all, just a little awkward ordering in the restaurant for food in the dining area. Glad there is still a Wahlbergers on the Northside. Sorry to see the one in Maple Grove closed.Love the onion strings!
Order ahead of time like a fast food restaurant, tip before you get your food, had to clear our own table and ask for sauce and boxes. Just wasn't a great experience at this location.
We’ve ordered from Wahlburgers before and had it delivered and thought it was time to actually go and dine in and it was enjoyable.
