Wai Heung is our go-to spot for decent, middle of the road, western Chinese food.Never blows my mind, but also never disappoints. For out here on the Saanich Peninsula, I 'm not sure what can be found that 's better.Is it that western Chinese food that we 're all familiar with? Yes. But its a pretty good iteration of the type. The family running the place are friendly, polite and don 't seem to cut corners or portion sizes on the food. We appreciate that.Not open Mondays. No delivery. No Dine-in. Pickup only. 15 min cook-times. Its a really reliable take-out Chinese place. Worth trying.
The food is excellent! They definitely have some talent in the kitchen... plus they're very kind friendly people. They obviously care about the food and their customer satisfaction. We go for lunch most Fridays, dinner occasionally and have never once been disappointed. Those people that complained about a hair in the food failed to mention they ate almost all of it and then took back the nearly empty containers. They were given a full refund even though they ate 90% of it. To top it off they go write that awful spiel. Tacky. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
I love Chinese food but my take out today left me looking for a burger.Combination A spring roll, beef broccoli, breaded chicken and pork chow mien) spring roll hot but very wet, bread chicken was very doughy, chow mien was heavy soy….beef was tender and broccoli very good.As I am staying in a trailer for a few days, figured I would get my favourite: Crispy Ginger Beef…mistake! Was so tough I had to cut into little pieces just to chew.Got back to jobsite and people told me they also had a bad experience.Moral of story: ask locals before you buy
Used to have good food. Not anymore. Bland, tasteless and what used to cost $12.95 is now $17.95. Used to love this place but the last 2 meals have been awful. New cook? Don't think they even use salt when cooking. Zero flavour. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
