I have enjoyed this gem for over 15 years now. I order so frequently they know my voice when I call in my order.. They staff couldn’t be nicer, the food always tasty and hot, just the way I like it. Children are spoiled if they like trains. All the decorations have the train theme and there is even an entire G scale layout that has model trains running on the weekends weather permitting of course. They have an outdoor seating area plus a wooden train set for young children to play on. And since it’s near the NJ transit railroad, you may, if your lucky, see a real train roll on by.As far as masks, many of us are wearing them due to numbers of Covid-19 going up. I really enjoyed dining at The Whistle Stop with my daughter Aimee and my grandbabies, Owen, Joseph, and Eva Rose Mangan. We always loved the owners of the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the special of the day. My grandbabies loved watching the train go by! It has been about 1 1/2 years since I last visited The Whistle Stop. Aimee and Owen were regulars there. I will cherish the memories of dining at The Whistle Stop. I will miss the lovely ladies who run it! This family-owned restaurant is a great spot for families. My son enjoyed some ice cream while I indulged in a delicious blueberry muffin and coffee. The outdoor decorations are beautiful, especially the winter displays that are perfect for kids. Overall, a very sweet experience!

This restaurant is a quaint little ice cream shop where you can also grab a ready-made dinner. The decor is charming with a holiday theme that both children and adults will appreciate.
The ice cream is delicious and the location is comfortable for enjoying a tasty meal. They have a lovely outdoor seating area as well!
