I can tell you a trick to distinguish the good salmon, which is looking at the salmon?s color: If the salmon has orange-red color, it is definitely a good salmon! However, if the salmon has a pale color meat, it is a salmon you would not want to buy...this is because of salmon?s nature diet includes tons of shrimps daily, the astaxanthin from shrimp made a pigmentation at the salmon?s muscle! I called to ask if they had blue crabs and the employee said no very rudely. As I was saying thank you, he hung up the phone really hard. I called back to speak to the manager and the employee kept asking who I was. Now he wanted to talk... But he then informed me that I would have to wait a minute. I waited ten seconds and the manager answered. He was nice, but gave an excuse to why his employee was rude. He apologized, however, I felt he was just trying to get me off of the phone. I also told him I won't be using my manners anymore since it's ok for his employee to base how he interacts with one customer because of previous experiences. This was our first experience trying seafood from this kitchen on December 9, 2022. I found the grilled salmon to be quite good. However, the hush puppies were doughy in the middle. I also ordered the fried fish plate special, which was $13.95 and served enough for two—definitely a great value. I would recommend eating the fish either there or in your car. We live near Seminole Blvd and 102nd St. Unfortunately, the fish fell apart easily and was quite greasy. Additionally, they didn't offer any bread with the meal.
Great quality fish! The kitchen is good, fish was cooked for perfection, but with the high quality fish to begin with it would be hard not to be big. Friendly staff and a wide range of local and other fish and shells. Also the sides are good, especially the black eyebrow salad. It was about 4 times and still has to be disappointed. This restaurant is fantastic! They offer a wide selection of seafood, including fresh fish, shrimp, lobster, crabs, and much more. I tried the smoked salmon and the jerk shrimp from the boiled options, and they were incredibly flavorful. I always enjoy checking out here; my husband and I love the cheerful atmosphere and the jokes the staff share. I'm so glad I discovered this place on my way to work one day!
This is one of the few genuine local seafood markets! The seafood is incredibly fresh, the place is very clean, and the service is excellent. The staff is well-informed about seafood. As a fourth-generation local, I find it to be an amazing experience. It's a must-visit!
I ordered halibut and shrimp for dinner, and I understand why this restaurant has been around for so long. The halibut was incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere was clean with an impressive selection. The service was excellent. I will definitely return!
