This cafe has been extended since the last time we visited and has been done in an almost seamless style. Open and spacious with lots of natural light and blonde wood. The style is minimalist and the lines clean. Very good coffee is served here...and the cherry scone was tender and freshly made, served with butter and jam. Friendly and helpful staff. We will be back to try the lunch offering.
eating was very nice and service friendly, but unfortunately very slow. we wanted to wait for our lunch cake, but wait for 20 minutes to order it, we gave up and went. it was a bank holiday so perhaps expected, but it did not seem a lack of personal, just a strange decision to have only one person order!
I stopped a coffee this week. we were quickly shown on our table, but had to wait a few times until the order was taken over. it wasn't like it was busy. alone and coffee was good. there was a lot of choice...Menu if they wanted more.
the caffe is very spacious, light and airy and has possibilities to sit on two faces of the building outside. overall the best place in the Scottish borders for really delicious gluten-free cakes.
Simply delicious cafe. Warm welcome and friendly staff serving excellent food. Well worth a visit. Recently extended to hold more people but with plenty of space between the tables.
