I want to like this place so badly. It COULD be such a great family spot. Easy ordering at the counter, outdoor space with heaters and large communal tables. The problem is that the staff and owners are so incredibly rude and unfriendly to families. I have gone back several times in hopes their attitude has changed, but each time am greeted with dirty looks and comments about keeping kids firmly in their seats. I love the atmosphere at Way Station! It’s casual but the staff are super attentive and friendly. You can bring your dog or kids and sit outside in a communal atmosphere and listen to live music. I love that you can come with a group and always find seating due to the picnic tables. They have great, local rotating taps as well.Vegetarian options: I’m a vegetarian and still feel like I have a lot of variety to chose from for a bbq place. I don’t review places often but I wish someone told me to not waste my money here. I love smoked barbecue, but unfortunately the paper plate of smoked drumsticks I received was just dry and unseasoned, very flavorless, maybe reheated but not tasting like it was smoked. When I went to put bbq sauce on the drumsticks, the milder sauce also had a bland taste so it didn’t help. When I ordered, the she handed me the drink that I ordered in the wrong size glass . Absolutely Outstanding Don 't Listen to the Haters The Way Station is awesome, plain and simple. The owner pours his heart into the business. The food is outstanding (the best ribs I 've had in my entire life). The ambiance is so nice and relaxing. People have one moment of frustration and just take to the airwaves with their complains. It 's such a shame. My wife and I have been here for our date night two dozen times and it has been flawless every single time. We will continue to come to The Way Station, because of the food, the drinks, the ambiance and the owner, whose whole heart is in this business.

Beers, BBQ, and live music. What else do you need? Stopped by after a mountain bike trip to Tamarancho and realized this is a biker bar. Tons of bikes set up to listen to music.The Hot Mess sandwich is a delicious choice for when you can 't make up your mind between brisket or pork. A nice spicy zing, but not overpowering. A side of tots goes perfectly and are a good size to share with two people. Excellent service as well. So excited to have found this place.
The food is incredible, fresh and made from scratch. The food is top quality and everything I have eaten there is DELISH! Staff is so friendly and accommodating and make you feel like you are the most important guest there. Delicious bbq sides, relaxing outdoor seating and would have been great except cook forgot half our order and they seem to have had kids issues in the past (due to signage). Staff did their best to apologize with free cookies.
Came with friends to celebrate a BD. Great beer selection, and amazing BBQ. Not one person at our 8 ppl table said anything negative. And that BBQ sauce? AMAZING! Service was on par. Thank you for hosting us!

The ambiance is great, have 2 tvs that were playing the game live music also. Food is super mediocre overpriced for the taste/quantity. I would come back but skip the food… just grab some drinks.
Good. Really nice outdoor area with shade. Sometimes music. BBQ Food? Try the Brisket. Beer variety? too few non-IPA decisions for this IPA non-fan, but I had a good Kolsch today
