I recently dined at the Wayback on Diamond Avenue and enjoyed the best burger I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed. Since I live in Lexington, Kentucky, this was my first visit, and I was pleased to see that excellent customer service is still valued at this establishment. The manager was very professional, efficiently taking orders and supervising the kitchen, which ensured my burger was cooked to perfection. As a chef myself, I often encounter either exceptional service or outstanding food, so I truly appreciate those rare occasions when I find both.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance yesterday, and I'm so glad I did. I had the best burger I've ever had at a restaurant—definitely the best! The atmosphere was fantastic, and I even got to catch some football while enjoying my meal. The convenience of having it right in my hometown makes it even better. This place has quickly become one of my favorite dining spots, and I will definitely be returning soon. It's truly a hidden gem in Evansville!
Stayed at Drury Inn across the street and my boy looked out the window and saw your restaurant. I said sure, we’ll give it a try. Long story short, 2nd best burger I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely fantastic! What a surprise at 8:30 pm to get such good food. The boy got a hot dog and the wife a salad. Everyone was happy. I thanked the cook on the way out.
Evan the cook and Ashley in the front were extremely wonderful servicing us. Food is Phenomenal!! Thank you so much! Even the owner came out from his busy schedule to say hi and it’s wonderful to see the connection they like to make with their customers! It’s so hard anymore to get wonderful service like this!

We eat at Wayback once a week or more. The best burger in town. I love the salads. Dustin and Debbie at the Morgan Ave. store go out of the their way to make your dining a meal that makes you want to come back. Your burger will look like the picture! Dustin takes pride in that, Debbie makes my salad perfect.
The service was great across the board. Very friendly and polite service. The cook has some major skill. Haven't had burgers that good in a long time. Definitely coming back. Wouldn't even hesitate to bring our autistic son here.
Ordered GrubHub, wife ordered an impossible burger, she got a regular burger with a slice of Swiss. Only eat in-restaurant so that if they miss more than half of the ingredients you can request they actually make your order.
I tried the triple bacon burger with homemade chips, and it was excellent! By far, the best burger in Evansville! The service was fantastic too. Once you dine here, you won't want to settle for any other burger!

We have been at both Waybacks in Evansville. The food is great. The burgers are real meat, not the “hockey pucks” you get at BK or MD. The service has been great every time.
