I first heard about Westwood Tavern on the I'm Fat Podcast and decided to give it a try. When I visited on a Monday night, the restaurant was about half full. The centerpiece of the place is a large bar surrounded by high-top tables and booths, giving it a higher-end sports bar vibe. The menu offers a variety of options including sushi from Yessushi, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. I couldn't resist trying the Foot Long Short Rib Grilled Cheese, which was absolutely delicious. It featured three cheeses melted with short ribs on brioche bread, served with a bowl of tomato basil dipping sauce and a choice of side. A nice and very busy place for a good breakfast. You will observe it quite noisy but it's not irritating. It's highly recommended to make an advance reservation. Their service is quick. The quality of food and it's taste is great. The size orportion which is served is also Big. I hope the ones reading my experience will have even a better experience than mine . ????
Whenever we are in the area, we always make sure to stop by this restaurant. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious Mediterranean Salad and Signature Roll, which was more than enough food for us. We also had a few drinks to accompany our meal. The atmosphere was lively and the crowd was fun for a Wednesday evening.
Westwood is an excellent bar with a nice ambiance and delicious food. I went there for a happy hour event after a conference and although it was crowded, the service was prompt. I've been coming here for years. Good food, nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating area is great. Prime Rib Dip is excellent, very tender. Veggie Burger was good too. Kids pizza is only $7-8.
The reviews for this restaurant are all over the place! Many of our friends live in trendy neighborhoods, so when it was my husband's birthday, we decided to give it a try.
I haven't been to this restaurant since 2011, and it is still the best bar in the Foam Castle area. We visited for dinner and drinks on a weekday.
